Yushan Smoky is the latest addition to the Yushan range, and perfectly complements the distillery's first two single malts. Like its predecessors, it is distilled in a Scottish pot still, but aged for 4 years in 200L first-fill unreburned bourbon casks, its peat level is 35PPM. This whisky delights you with sweet, intense and long flavors with notes of citrus, floral, caramelized cane sugar, and a delicate smokiness. It is non-chill filtered and naturally colored.

Bouche :

Intense sur le sucre de canne caramélisé, et sur le fumé.

Nez :

Doux et équilibré sur les agrumes et les fleurs.

Longue sur des notes cendrées.

Nantou Distillery, Taiwan's second largest distillery, takes its name from the neighboring city. It was established in 2008 and remains owned by the TTL Group. It is located in a mountain range called Bagua, with the Maoluo River at its feet. This valley is primarily known for the quality of its tea. Mr. Puli Pan is a key figure in the distillery's history, applying expertise that combines tradition and modernity, knowledge acquired during various trips to Japan, France, Germany, and Scotland. Omar was the first name for the whiskies, replaced by Yushan Single Malt a few years later. Yushan refers to the highest mountain in Taiwan. This highest peak on the island of Taiwan is also called Jade Mountain.
