For EDDU – Barrels of Côte-Rôtie Rhône Valley - Travel Journal, the Distillerie des Menhirs sets up shop in the heart of the Rhône Valley, on the steep and legendary hillsides of Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie . It is here, between black schists and thousand-year-old granites, that Domaine Mathilde and Yves Gangloff produce wines of rare intensity, recognized since the 1980s for their depth and distinguished elegance.

This is a 3-year-old EDDU that patiently matures for an additional 2 years to develop a rich, fruity, and complex aromatic palette. The combination is surprising, yet perfectly harmonious. The Rhône barrels complement the sweetness of buckwheat and black fruits, providing a full, creamy structure with a hint of spice.
